President Gül did the first trial in Sincan subway.
Sincan Batıkent metro line expected to be open for a long time is opened today with a ceremony participated by President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. President Gül drive the vehicle on sitting motorman seat for the first time from Mesa stop of subway.
PRIME MINISTER GAVE THE SEAT TO PRESIDENT
President Abdullah Gül, President of Turkish Grand National Assembly Cemil Çiçek, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Ankara metropolitan mayor Melih Gökçek have joined the opening ceremony of Batıkent-Sincan subway line. There are 11 different stations on Kızılay-Sincan line which it’s test drives started in summer months and it has 15.5 kilometers long. President Gül and Prime Minister Erdoğan came together for the opening. Prime Minister gave the seat to President Gül for the first drive.
Batıkent-Sincan subway line which its construction completed to relieve Ankara traffic entered into service. The first drive of subway is done from Mesa stop. President Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Minister of Transportation, Communication and Maritime lütfi Elvan, Ankara metropolitan mayor Melih Gökçek and the deputies are participated at the ceremony.The guests travelled in the first drivewhich President Gül sit on motorman seat.
Sincan- Batıkent subway line has 15.5 kilometers long. Subway has these stops: Batıkent, Batı Merkez, Mesa, Botanik, İstanbul Road, Eryaman1-2, Eryaman 3, Devlet Mahallesi, Fatih, GOP, Törekent-1 and OSB.
