Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that in the visa liberalization process officially will start in Ankara on December 16 and readmission agreement will be signed.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the decision was made for the liberalization of visa negotiations dialogue between the EU and Turkey and the signing of readmission agreement.
Davutoglu who held a joint press conference with Stefan Füle Member of the European Commission responsible for Enlargement and Cecilia Malmström Commissioner for Home Affairs in Brussels, said: “Recently we had great efforts. Currently, I am happy that Turkish people will be able to travel visa-free in the EU maximum in 3-3.5 years. This is the longest period. I thank to my colleagues for their cooperation. It is a historical day. It is a historical day for Turkey and Europe. I hope the process which is going to start in Ankara on 16, December conclude soon. Turkey is a member of European family. It demonstrates our vision for the future. I would like to thank once more”.
